I read a few good books this month
- Work happy: what great bosses know — it's on my bookshelf for a very long time & I can't remember where I got it. But it turned out to be quite a good book which talks about how to manage and how to lead. The author explains everything detailedly in a humorous way.
- Execution — referred by a friend. A great book on how to execute and how important execution is. Finished the parts I want to read.
- Never split the difference. A well-articulated book on negotiation tactics from a former FBI guy. Still reading.
This is such a turbulent month in both personal & work life. We moved to a new house & rent two houses to more than 30 people. I constantly felt stressed by so many details to pay attention to. Feel so thankful to our new housemaid.
For the first time in my work life (almost 8 years), I sensed office politics. What stupid it is. I made critical mistakes at work, started to rebuild the team. But on the bright side, it's such a good chance for me to understand my fear. I always know it vaguely but a friend who finally helps to name it. Naming the fear always helps us. Also, I am excited to see new talented members joining the team
Hello November.
